Sibling Discounts

Automatically discount fees for families with multiple children at your club.

Enabling sibling discounts

Go to Settings and open the Discounts tab
Switch on Sibling discount
In 2nd child, enter the percentage off (e.g. 10)
In 3rd+ child, enter the percentage off for larger families (e.g. 15)
Click Save Discount Settings

How it works

Every child in the family gets the same percentage off. It depends on how many children the family has:

With two active athletes, every child gets the 2nd child percentage
With three or more, every child gets the 3rd+ child percentage instead
If you leave 3rd+ child blank, larger families get the 2nd child percentage

Example: you set 10% for the 2nd child and 15% for the 3rd+ child. A family with two children pays 90% of the fee for each of them. A family with three children pays 85% of the fee for each of them. No child is charged full price.

Kolva counts the active athletes linked to the parent who is billed. It is applied automatically to recurring fees when billing is generated, so there is nothing to adjust by hand.

If an athlete has a custom monthly fee or a crossover price, they pay exactly that amount for their monthly team fee and the sibling discount is not applied on top.

Other ways to reduce fees

Multi-team discount — on the same Discounts tab, for an athlete who is on more than one paid team. It isn't added on top of a crossover price or custom monthly fee
Crossover price — a single monthly total for an athlete on more than one team, set on the Crossovers page
Custom monthly fee — on an athlete's edit form, for example for a scholarship or hardship place, with a reason. It beats a crossover price if both are set. See Crossover pricing and custom fees
Discount codes — on the Discounts tab, for one-off public session sign-ups (they don't apply to monthly fees)
