Add Teams
Teams are the backbone of your club. Every athlete belongs to one or more teams, and sessions are assigned to teams. Set them up to match your club structure.
Creating a team
- Go to Teams in the sidebar
- Click Create Team
- Fill in the details:
- Team name — e.g. "Tiny Stars", "Junior Squad", "Senior Elite"
- Age range — Set minimum and maximum ages. This is used to suggest the right team when new athletes join.
- Skill level — Optional. Helps distinguish teams with the same age range.
- Monthly fee — The standard monthly fee for this team. Used for automatic billing.
- Click Save
Using groups
If you have many teams, you can organise them into Groups. Groups let you batch operations — send a message to all U8 teams at once, or set a default fee for a group.
Go to Groups in the sidebar to create groups like "Under 8s", "Under 12s", or "Competition Teams". Then assign teams to groups.
Teams and fees
Each team has a monthly fee which is used when you set up automated billing. You can also have:
- Different fees per team — An elite competition team might cost more than a recreational team
- Crossover athletes — Athletes in multiple teams. You control whether they pay per team or a consolidated fee.
- Sibling discounts — Set up in Settings. Automatically applied when a family has multiple children.
Typical club structures
Here are some common ways clubs organise teams:
By age
Tiny Stars (4-6), Juniors (7-9), Intermediates (10-12), Seniors (13-17), Adults (18+)
By age and level
U8 Rec, U8 Comp, U12 Rec, U12 Comp, Senior Rec, Senior Elite
By discipline
Tumbling, Cheerleading, Dance, Gymnastics (works well for multi-discipline clubs)
Tips
- You can always rename teams or change age ranges later
- Athletes can belong to multiple teams (crossover athletes)
- The AI assistant can create teams for you — try "Create a team called Juniors for ages 7-9 with a £35 monthly fee"
