Competition Fees

Competition costs (entry fees, travel, accommodation) are collected from parents as disbursements — money that passes through to suppliers rather than being club revenue.

Setting up competition costs

  1. Create a competition from Competitions in the sidebar
  2. Under costs, define each cost type: entry fee, travel, accommodation, uniforms
  3. Set the per-athlete amount for each
  4. Open signups

How disbursements work

When a parent's child is signed up for a competition, they see the costs broken down on their dashboard. These appear as disbursement payments, clearly marked as money being collected for a supplier rather than club revenue.

This distinction matters for accounting and tax — disbursements are not your income.

Cost splitting

Total costs (like a minibus hire) can be split across all signed-up athletes. The per-athlete cost is calculated automatically as athletes sign up.
