Fines
Fines are linked to mandatory training periods. When athletes miss compulsory sessions without an approved absence, fines can be generated automatically.
How fines work
- You create a mandatory training period (e.g. "Competition prep: June 1-30")
- Set the fine amount per missed session (e.g. £10)
- Sessions during that period are flagged as mandatory
- If an athlete misses a session and hasn't had an approved absence, a fine is created automatically
- Parents see fines on their dashboard and can pay them
Managing fines
Go to Absences in the sidebar to see all fines. You can:
- View fines by family, team, or status
- Waive a fine — Forgive it with a reason (e.g. illness, family emergency)
- Track payment status of fines
- Bulk operations on multiple fines
Parent experience
Parents see fines on their dashboard with the session, date, and amount. They can pay fines through the normal payment flow or request that you waive them.
